P:Dearly beloved, Christ our Lord says in the last chapter of Matthew: “All authority in heaven and earth has been given to Me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” ဒီပုၢ်ဝဲၢ်လၢတၢ်အဲၣ်အီၤသ့ၣ်သုဧၢဖဲလံာ်မးသဲအဆၢဒိၣ်အကတၢၢ်တဆၢန့ၣ်ယ့ၣ်ရှူစံးဝဲဒၣ်, “တၢ်ဟ့ၣ်လီၤလံယၤလၢကယဲၢ်တၢ်စိတၢ်ကမီၤလၢမူခိၣ်,ဒီးဟီၣ်ခိၣ်ချၢလီၤ.မၤသးဒ်န့ၣ်ဒီးလဲၤဒုးကဲထီၣ်ပှၤအကလုာ်တဖၣ်ခဲလၢာ်လၢကပျဲၢ်ယဘီၣ်တက့ၢ်.ဒီးဘျၢအီၤလၢပၢ်,ဒီးဖိခွါ,ဒီးသးစီဆှံအမံၤအပူၤတက့ၢ်.”  

In the last chapter of Mark our Lord promises, “Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved.” ဖဲလံာ်မၢ်ကူးအဆၢဒိၣ်အကတၢၢ်တဆၢန့ၣ်ကစၢ်ခရံာ်အဲၣ်လီၤဝဲဒၣ်လၢ,”ပှၤလၢအစူၢ်က့ၤန့ာ်က့ၤဝဲ,ဒီးဒိးဘျၢအသးန့ၣ်,ကတုၤလၢတၢ်အုၣ်က့ၤခီၣ်က့ၤအီၤလီၤ.“  

And the apostle Peter has written, “Baptism now saves you.” ဒီးပှၤတၢ်မၢဖိစီၤပ့ၣ်တရူးကွဲးတ့ၢ်ဝဲ,”ဒိးဘျၢသးခဲအံၤဒီးသုကတုၤလၢတၢ်အုၣ်က့ၤခီၣ်က့ၤလီၤ.“  

The Word of God also teaches that we are all conceived and born sinful and are under the   power of the devil until Christ claims us as His own. We would be lost forever unless delivered from sin, death, and everlasting condemnation. The pastor places his hands on the head of the baptismal candidate and says:တၢ်အိၣ်ဖှိၣ်သရၣ်ပာ်ထီၣ်အစုလၢပှၤဟံးန့ၢ်တၢ်ဒိးဆူၣ်ဒိးဘျၢဖိအခိၣ်အဖီခိၣ်ဒီးစံးဝဲ

P Those who are baptized followers of Jesus please rise.  As (Name) is baptized, he/she will become members of the body of Christ.  Your job as members is to pray for them, support them in their ongoing instruction and nurture in the Christian faith, and encourage them toward the faithful reception of the Lord’s Supper. The pastor addresses the Christians. တၢ်အိၣ်ဖှိၣ်သရၣ်သံကွၢ်ပှၤခရံာ်ဖိတဖၣ်.

They brought young children to [Jesus], that He might touch them; but the disciples rebuked those who brought them. But when Jesus saw it, He was greatly displeased and said to them, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God. Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it.” And He took them up in His arms, put His hands on them, and blessed them. P     Do you renounce all his works?  မ့ၢ်နအၢၣ်လီၤနသးလၢနကစူးကွံာ်ညိကွံာ်အတၢ်ဖံးတၢ်မၤတဖၣ်ခဲလၢာ်ဧါ.

THE APOSTLE’S CREED

 I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.  

And in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary,    suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell. On the third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From thence he will come to judge the living and the dead.  

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

The pastor places his hands on the head of the newly baptized and may use oil when he makes the sign of the cross on the forehead while saying:တၢ်အိၣ်ဖှိၣ်သရၣ်ကတီၣ်ထီၣ်အစုလၢပှၤဟံးန့ၢ်တၢ်ဒိးဘျၢထံဖိတဂၤအခိၣ်ဖီခိၣ်,ဒီးကသူဝဲဒၣ်သိ,ဖဲအမၤဝဲဒၣ်ထူၣ်စုညါတၢ်ပနီၣ်လၢအဝဲအခိၣ်တိသၣ်လိၤဒီးဖဲန့ၣ်ခါကတဲဝဲဒၣ်

P Almighty God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has given you the new birth of water and the Spirit and has forgiven you all your sins, strengthen you with His grace to life + everlasting.  ကစၢ်လၢသ့တၢ်လၢာ်,ပကစၢ်ယ့ၣ်ရှူးခရံာ်အပၢ်,လၢအဒုးအိၣ်ဖျဲၣ်ထီၣ်က့ၤနၤလၢထံဒီးသးစီဆှံ,ဒီးပျၢ်ကွံာ်နတၢ်သရူးကမၣ်တဖၣ်ခဲလၢာ်,မၤဆူၣ်ထီၣ်နဂံၢ်နဘါ,လၢအဘျုးအဖှိၣ်ဒီးတၢ်အဲၣ်တၢ်သးကညီၤဒီးဟ့ၣ်နၤတၢ်မူလီၤထူလီၤယိာ်န့ၣ်လီၤ.

The pastor may light a baptismal candle from the paschal candle and give it to the newly baptized, saying: တၢ်အိၣ်ဖှိၣ်သရၣ်ကဒွဲၣ်ထီၣ်ပှၤဒိးဘျၢထံဖိအပနဲဘိလၢအဝဲအပနဲဒီးဟ့ၣ်ဝဲပှၤဒိးဘျၢသီထံဖိ,ဒီးကစံးဝဲဒၣ်

P Receive this burning light to show that you have received Christ who is the Light of the world. The newly baptized may be welcomed with the following:  တၢ်ကတူာ်လိာ်ဝဲပှၤဒိးဘျၢသီထံဖိတဂၤဒ်လာ်အံၤသိးန့ၣ်လီၤ.

P     In Holy Baptism God the Father has made you a member of His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, and an heir with us of all the treasures of heaven in the one holy Christian and apostolic Church. P           Let us pray.  ပကဃ့ဘါထုကဖၣ်သကိး.   Almighty and most merciful God and    Father, we thank and praise You that You graciously preserve and enlarge Your family and have granted  name(s) the new birth in Holy Baptism and made him/her/them (a) member(s) of Your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, and an heir of Your heavenly kingdom.
